Post 147 Annual Elections Announcement
American Legion Post 147 will conduct its annual Post elections on May 14 during the General Membership Meeting.
These elections are a critical part of maintaining a strong, effective, and member-driven organization. Leadership positions within the Post are filled by Legionnaires who are committed to service, accountability, and the continued success of Post 147.
Why Elections Matter
Our Post is built on the active participation of its members. Elections ensure that leadership reflects the voice of the membership and that the Post continues to move forward with purpose and direction.
Every member has a role—whether that is stepping up to serve in a leadership position or participating in the voting process.
Eligibility Requirements
To run for a position or vote in the election, members must:
-
Be a current member in good standing
-
Have their membership dues paid and up to date no later than May 1
Members who are not current by this deadline will not be eligible to participate in the election process.
Interested in Running?
Legionnaires who are interested in serving in a leadership role are encouraged to step forward.
Those wishing to run for a position should:
-
Notify Post leadership in advance
-
Be prepared to support the mission and operations of the Post
-
Demonstrate a commitment to service, professionalism, and teamwork
Leadership at Post 147 is about action—ensuring the Post remains active, relevant, and impactful within the community.
Call to Action
All members are strongly encouraged to attend the May 14 meeting and participate in the election process.
This Post belongs to its members. Your involvement—whether through leadership or voting—is essential to maintaining the strength and future of Post 147.
Closing
Post 147 continues to grow and succeed because of the dedication of its members. Elections are an opportunity to build on that foundation and ensure strong leadership for the year ahead.
We look forward to your participation.
